Group band and music ensemble courses

Playing with others is the best reason to practice: suddenly, someone is counting on you to come prepared. In our band and ensemble courses, a small group works on shared repertoire over a program cycle and performs it in a recital, with a teacher who leads rehearsals, creates arrangements, and shapes the group's sound.

Ideal for

  • Groups of friends who want to start a band and don't know where to begin.
  • Siblings or cousins who play different instruments and want to make music together.
  • Schoolmates who already play a little and want a challenge with a clear goal.
  • Adults who want a relaxed setting to rehearse and play as a group.

What's included

  • A small group of people of similar ages and levels, or a group formed by people who join together.
  • Teacher-led rehearsals focusing on rhythm, intonation, dynamics, and listening to one another.
  • Repertoire chosen with the group, with arrangements adapted to its level and instruments.
  • A program cycle, usually 8 to 12 weeks, with a clear goal at the end.
  • A live recital to close the program, with family and friends in the audience.
  • Rehearsals at a home, in a residential complex's community room, or online, depending on the group.

How it works

  1. Tell us who you are and what you play

Tell us how many members you have, which instruments they play, their level, and what music they enjoy.

  2. We put the group together

If you join as a group, we work with you as you are. If you join on your own, we'll explain how we can look for a group with a similar profile.

  3. We choose the repertoire

With the teacher, you choose songs for the program, balancing what you enjoy with what the group can achieve through focused practice.

  4. We rehearse and perform

Throughout the program, you rehearse with guidance, then play a live recital for everyone who wants to come along.

At the end of the cycle

  • A prepared repertoire performed as a group
  • A live recital for family and friends
  • Real experience rehearsing, listening, and coordinating with other musicians
  • Guidance from the teacher on continuing with the group or with private lessons

Frequently asked questions

How does a band or ensemble program cycle work?

Usually, the group rehearses weekly for about 8 to 12 weeks with a teacher, preparing repertoire to perform in a recital. We agree on the duration, frequency, and details based on the group.

Where do we rehearse?

We don't have a venue. Rehearsals can take place at a home, in a residential complex's community room, or online, depending on the group and instruments.

Do I need to play well to join?

You need basic skills on your instrument and a willingness to practice between rehearsals. If you're just starting out, the teacher can recommend a few private lessons first, before you join a group.

How much does it cost?

The program has a fixed price per cycle, depending on the number of members, duration, and rehearsal location. Message us and we'll send you a proposal.

How do I get started?

Message us on WhatsApp with who you are, which instruments you play, and what music you enjoy. We'll use that to suggest a program cycle and a teacher.
