Teacher training for music teachers

Playing well isn't enough to teach well. We support your music teachers with teaching workshops, classroom observation, and feedback to improve their practice, and review the entire program when needed. This service focuses on training and development; if you want to measure your team's performance, see teacher evaluation.

Ideal for

  • Academies looking for a consistent teaching approach across their teachers.
  • Schools whose music teachers come from a performance background rather than teacher training.
  • Coordinators looking to support new teachers in their first weeks.
  • Institutions looking to review how their music program is organized.

What's included

  • Music education workshops: lesson planning, sequencing, correction, and group management.
  • Classroom observation by a teacher from our network, with feedback using concrete examples.
  • Peer practice sessions to try out activities before bringing them into the classroom.
  • Institutional music program audit: curriculum, repertoire, resources, and organization.
  • Prioritized recommendations your coordination team can put into practice next term.
  • In person at your institution or online by video call.

How it works

  1. Assessment

We discuss your team, the groups they teach, and the challenges you see in the classroom or program.

  2. Training plan

We choose workshops, observation with feedback, a program audit, or a combination of these.

  3. Workshops and support

We work with your teachers in practical sessions and support them in the classroom through observation and feedback conversations.

  4. Wrap-up and recommendations

We share our observations and suggested actions, and agree on how to continue.

What your institution receives

  • Workshops with materials and activities your teachers can reuse
  • Individual teacher feedback after each observation
  • A program audit report with prioritized recommendations, when you book this service
  • A plan for continuing next term

Frequently asked questions

How is this different from teacher evaluation?

Teacher evaluation measures your team's performance using a rubric and provides a report. Teacher training goes further: it develops teachers through workshops and classroom support to help them improve. You can book either service or both.

Who leads the workshops?

Teachers from our network with experience in music education, selected according to your teachers' instruments and levels.

Where do they take place?

At your institution or by video call. We don't have our own premises. Classroom observation can be in person or through recordings, whichever you prefer.

What is an institutional music program audit?

It's a review of how your program is structured: the curriculum, progression across grade levels, repertoire, resources, and group organization. It concludes with concrete recommendations for your coordination team. If you're building the department from scratch, this guide to organizing a school's music department may help.

How do we book, and how much does it cost?

You can book a project with your institution or individual workshops. The price depends on the number of teachers, sessions, and the format you choose. Send us a message and we'll send you a proposal.

Request a proposal

Tell us which teacher you need or who you'd like us to assess. We'll reply with a proposal tailored to your institution, with no commitment.
